Aboyne Bridge

 

This critically important connection across the River Dee remains closed to vehicles for the foreseeable future. ​Communities on both sides of the river have founded Fix Aboyne Bridge (FAB) to actively raise awareness of the impact on local residents and businesses. FAB are working with our community representatives, lobbying local councillors, MSP and MP to achieve an urgent resolution.

Meanwhile Aberdeenshire Council consultants are investigating the feasibility of repair/replacement options presented at Community Drop-In Events in January/February 2026. These options, and an update on the ongoing survey work, including flood risk assessments, can be found at Engage Aberdeenshire.
