Exhibitions & Festivals

 

There are several notable exhibitions and festivals in the area each year.

 

Over many weeks in mid-summer the Aboyne & Deeside Festival features different genres of music, outdoor theatre and stimulating talks by local and national authors.

In July, artaboyne is Royal Deeside's annual art exhibition featuring artists from across North East Scotland.

​The Tarland Food and Music Festival over the weekend 17th -20th September 2026 will celebrate quality local food and its thriving music scene.  You can attend specialist cookery classes, attend a range of topical talks and enjoy excellent folk and contemporary music events.

​The Aboyne Cello Festival and Summer School is known to be a fun, supportive cello summer school based in wonderful surroundings, with an ethos of friendship and positive thinking. We are looking forward to celebrating our 20th summer school between 19th and 26 July 2026 and to performing some exciting works.
