There are three active churches in Aboyne, offering weekly services.

Aboyne and Dinnet (St Machar's) - Church of Scotland - linked with Cromar Parish church (St Moulag's) Tarland - is situated on the northwest corner of the Green with the current building dating from 1842.

​St Margaret's Catholic Church, Ballater Rd. was built in 1874.

​

St Thomas' Episcopal Church, Ballater Rd (opposite the Community Centre) was erected and endowed by George Coats of Glen Tanar in 1909.

Also, on the first Sunday of the month there is an evening Evangelical Service  (Banchory Christian Fellowship Church) at the Victory Hall (18:00 - 19:00)​
