Health & Well-being
The communities of Aboyne and surrounding villages are well served by a variety of health and well-being practitioners.

Aboyne Health Centre
The Aboyne Health Centre provides access to modern medical services for the management and prevention of ill health every weekday in both Aboyne and Tarland (half-day) . GPs support the attached Aboyne Hospital and they can connect patients to the Community Mental Health Team, too.
Aboyne Hospital
Aboyne Hospital is attached to the Aboyne Health Centre which combines the GP Surgery, the Community Nursing Teams and several out patients clinics.
The hospital was originally opened in 1898 when there was a shortage of hospital beds in the Deeside area. The hospital has undergone a major refurbishment in recent years.
Chemists

Both Aboyne and Tarland have Chemists for the collection of prescriptions, as well as purchase of over-the-counter medicines and personal care products.
