Guided Fungi Walk in Bellwood

Delve into the mysterious world of mycology on this morning walk with local fungi expert, Toni! We'll spend a couple of hours exploring the trails in Bellwood, Aboyne, searching for magnificent mushrooms, tremendous toadstools, and fascinating fungi. You'll have the chance to admire the amazing variety of shapes and colours, find out more about what makes mushrooms special and how they grow, and hopefully learn to identify some of the common types.

This is a family-friendly guided walk aimed at anyone with a general interest in nature and our environment. Please note, this is not a foraging workshop — we won’t be collecting or advising on edible mushrooms.

This event has been organised by Aboyne Community Trust Woodlands committee. It is FREE to attend, with an option to donate when booking your ticket. Your donations are appreciated and will help us to manage Bellwood for the local community and wildlife, including offering future family-friendly activities.
